I have a been a fervent defender of Todoist because it was just… you know, amazing. This may sound like a trivial example, but once you have 50 projects and a couple hundred tasks between work and personal it's really handy to be able to defer stuff to a future time when it's relevant. There is no elegant way of accomplishing the same thing in Todoist since it only has one date field per tasks. There is a view called "Upcoming" where you can see all your scheduled tasks and deadlines in one place. The task will "disappear" until November 1st and then reappear in my Today list. I can add a task called "Renew car registration at DMV" with a Nov 30th deadline, but since it's a couple months in the future I don't want it to clutter my task list, so I add a November 1st start date. The tasks with a "When" date out in the future don't clutter your Today view which is really really nice.Īnother example is that I may have to renew my car registration by November 30th. I may have a podcast episode that I need to publish by Thursday (due date), but I plan to record it on Monday (When Date), Edit it on Tuesday (When Date). This is the killer feature for me and what keeps me in Things. He has a nice walkthrough video Ī fundamental difference between both apps is that Todoist only lets you set a "Due date" for the tasks, while with Things you can set both a "Due date" and a "When" date which is when you plan to work on the task. You can see your calendar in Things, in the "Today" and "Upcoming" views. I would push Things 3 at one level further being able to log only item from a specific project or area to again preventing loosing the context in other projects where I'm not ready to hide completed tasks. But the more important thing here is that Things 3 let you choose what you want compared to Todoist who not only hide immediatly the item but move it at the bottom of the list where again in so many situations the context between checked and uncheck items is important. ![]() I'm the type of person who want the task to keep visible until I logged them because if I have for example three tasks and I check off the second, I don't want immediatly this task to be hide because I will lost the context seeing only the task 1 and then the task 3. I think it's genious these options because it reach every preferences. Keep the task visible until you logged them. This is an option where you can choose between those options: ![]() It's not totally true to say that when you check off a task in Things 3, it stays visible. ![]() Do the developers of these apps, and/or the predominant users, rarely or never want to add something to their to-do list that they can't start on yet? Do they never have more than a handful of items on their to-do list, so it's not a problem having items that can't be started on cluttering things up? Yeah, whenever I encounter an otherwise-mature task manager (whether a to-do list tool like Things or Todoist or a more project-management tool like Trello or MS Planner), I'm absolutely baffled that the idea of "start date" in some form hasn't been included along with "end date" (i.e., deadline). ![]() Version 5 only add ‘flowery’ feature such publish videos and MP3 files for portable media players, publish in Flash and support narrated PowerPoints, multiple audio tracks, and webcam video. ![]() You will now using full version and fully working version of Camtasia Studio 3, which you can use as long as possible.Īlthough Camtasia Studio 3.1.3 is the older version of software, but it’s still feature rich and will likely fulfill all your need in screen capturing, sound recording need and editing need.
SiGe MOSFETs can also provide lower junction leakage due to the lower bandgap value of SiGe. SGOI increases the speed of the transistors inside microchips by straining the crystal lattice under the MOS transistor gate, resulting in improved electron mobility and higher drive currents. Silicon–germanium on insulator (SGOI) is a technology analogous to the silicon on insulator (SOI) technology currently employed in computer chips. Being a heterojunction technology with an adjustable band gap, the SiGe offers the opportunity for more flexible bandgap tuning than silicon-only technology. This translates into better low-current and high-frequency performance. Heterojunction bipolar transistors have higher forward gain and lower reverse gain than traditional homojunction bipolar transistors. SiGe allows CMOS logic to be integrated with heterojunction bipolar transistors, making it suitable for mixed-signal integrated circuits. Recently, organogermanium precursors (e.g. SiGe processes achieve costs similar to those of silicon CMOS manufacturing and are lower than those of other heterojunction technologies such as gallium arsenide. More relevant, the performance of resulting transistors far exceeded what was then thought to be the limit of traditionally manufactured silicon devices, enabling a new generation of low cost commercial wireless technologies such as WiFi. Once having resolved that basic roadblock, it was shown that resultant SiGe materials could be manufactured into high performance electronics using conventional low cost silicon processing toolsets. Meyerson and co-workers discovered that the then believed requirement for high temperature processing was flawed, allowing SiGe growth at sufficiently low temperatures such that for all practical purposes no defects were formed. At the usual high temperatures at which silicon transistors were fabricated, the strain induced by adding these larger atoms into crystalline silicon produced vast numbers of defects, precluding the resulting material being of any use. The challenge that had delayed its realization for decades was that Germanium atoms are roughly 4% larger than Silicon atoms. The use of silicon–germanium as a semiconductor was championed by Bernie Meyerson. SiGe is also used as a thermoelectric material for high-temperature applications (>700 K). ![]() This relatively new technology offers opportunities in mixed-signal circuit and analog circuit IC design and manufacture. Leaving aside how beautiful the actual singing is (and it is stunning), the circumstances of the recording gave it a deep, added resonance. One of the best jazz songs ever came in the form of an unlikely duet: Natalie Cole sang with a recording of her legendary father, Nat King Cole. In 1980, Calloway famously performed his signature tune in the smash hit movie The Blues Brothers. Riddled with veiled drug references and famous for its nonsensical, ad-libbed “scat” lyrics, this 1931 jazz song sold over a million copies.
